Welcome to the metaverse! For every property, we gather and present as much information as possible online, paying particular attention to 360 Tours and YouTube videos. Objectively, we aim to provide our Guests with over 80% of the information they need in order to decide whether a property is suitable for them or not, before coming to a physical viewing in-person. This saves time, reduces wasted commutes and ultimately, kualalumpur’s carbon footprint. Crucially, we do not impose viewings targets our staff, and would encourage our industry peers to reduce this environmentally unfriendly practice.
As a company we strongly support and encourage our staff to commute only when necessary, and even then to cycle were possible. Certainly public transport is a prime option for all our staff, along with the use of electric vehicles (EVs) and scooters. As an employer we have also invested in the Cycle To Work scheme making this available for all our staff.
As early adopters of remote working (since 2017, well before the Covid-19 pandemic) we have already made significant investments in our operations, using leading edge cloud technologies and systems such as Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace. Remote working has been part of our company working culture from the start, and we continue to strongly support work from home (WFH) as this reduces needless travel to the office. Staff are office-based only when operationally unavoidable, and we’re big fans of Wade Foster’s approach to remote working at Zapier!
To give back to the local community, we support recruiting and training apprentices and have won employer of the year awards with Hounslow Council and the SPARK charity apprenticeship scheme. We’ve successfully recruited and trained a number of apprentices who have gone on to gain their ARLA PropertyMark qualifications with us.
We also actively promote and support our Guests in making greener choices, following the Energy Saving Trust. As a company, we are committed in our philosophy in promoting properties with good Energy Performance Certificate ratings and assisting our Owners to make upgrades as necessary, in order to reduce the carbon impact on the environment.
We also invest significant resources annually, both financially and also in the volunteering efforts of our staff, to help multiple charities connected to housing for vulnerable populations affected by natural disasters, to refugees fleeing war and persecution, and to welfare and research into disabilities such as autism. We strongly believe in the ethos of giving back to those who need help from those who have relatively more privilege.
